How to Get Rid of Acne Scar – Best Acne Scar Treatment - Acne Scar Removal Cream

Sixty million Americans have acne and 20 million have acne badly enough to cause scars. 85% of  U.S. teenagers are affected and of these 25% will have permanent scars.

Now what is a bit alarming is that only 11% of acne sufferers seek help.

It is disturbing because the best acne scar treatment is to avoid getting scars in the first place by treating your acne early.

However, Acne scars can still be prevented even if you have acne. This is made possible by encouraging the healing of acne.  The quicker it heals, the shallower the acne scar will be, making it easier to treat…or it may not need any treatment at all. One of the best preventative acne scar treatments is to use a 4% niacinamide cream. This is a very effective preventative acne scar cream. Not only will the niacinamide heal the acne fast…the New York University College of Medicine proved it as effective as the leading topical prescription medication, Clindamycin, at curing acne…but it can fade scarring discoloration as well. Niacinamide is an active form of Niacin (Vitamin B3) and is used to treat many other skin disorders because of its anti-inflammatory properties.  The more that inflammation can be eliminated, the greater the likelihood that scars can be prevented.  This is particularly true when preventing acne aggravation.  The more you irritate an area that’s inflamed, the more likely it is to scar.

As well as the anti-inflammatory effects associated with a 4% Niacinamide formula, recent studies have revealed a variety of significant skin appearance improvement effects above and beyond what was already known–reductions in fine lines and wrinkles, decreased hyperpigmentation and spots, red blotchiness, and skin sallowness (yellowing) with a lightening in skin color. This makes it great for fading old acne scars. In addition, skin elasticity is improved. Still other studies have demonstrated topical niacinamide’s ability to moisturise skin by reducing water loss from skin and increasing its hydration levels. Additional benefits include Softer, smoother, younger looking skin with fewer wrinkles in just 6 days.

HOW IT WORKS TO GET RID ACNE SCAR

Vitamin B3 (also known as niacinamide or nicotinamide) can trigger an increase in the production of the body’s natural moisturizers, allowing skin to retain more moisture and reducing fine lines, irritation, and redness. B3 is also able to restore proper function to skin’s protective layer (the stratum corneum)–which can be degraded by environmental stress such as UV exposure–leaving the complexion more hydrated and less vulnerable to the effects of damaging agents such as detergents and soap. Though the specific mechanisms for these benefits aren’t known, vitamin B3 is thought to enable coenzymes required for many reactions in the skin to do their work, explains Don Bissett, Ph.D., a research fellow in the skin-care department at Procter & Gamble. According to an article published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, one study involving a topical product containing niacinamide showed a small but significant reduction in fine lines after eight weeks of twice-daily use–possibly due to a boost in the production of collagen. In another study, subjects saw decreased hyperpigmentation and increased skin lightening after four weeks…making it an effective acne scar treatment.

Remember…one of the best ways to prevent acne scarring is to prevent acne.  Taking steps to treat this condition will minimize or eliminate the chance for scarring.  Also fighting the acne you do have as quick as possible can help prevent lasting acne scars.

How to get rid of Acne Scar - Remove acne scar by laser…

Seek the help of a dermatologist or physician when you aren’t sure how to best treat your acne or acne scar removal when the scars are severe.  In some cases the scar can be removed by laser treatment, but this is only in more serious cases where the scars are deep. Laser resurfacing works by burning an upper layer of skin…then letting it heal. This leaves a newer looking skin. Care must be taken after the acne scar treatment operation however, since the correct post operative procedure will determine whether the acne scar removal operation is a success to remove the acne scar.
